City of Toronto - 2024 to present

This is our largest project to date and our most complex. Awarded a five-year contract by the City of Toronto, we manage 20 to 30 planting sites across the city, each containing anywhere from 500 to 20,000 trees and shrubs. For five to six months of the year, this is where we live.

Our responsibility doesn't end at planting. We keep every tree and shrub alive - watering from trucks or nearby natural sources, brush cutting a two-metre radius around each plant to eliminate competition, and infilling where stock doesn't survive. We install and maintain deer exclusionary fencing, and manage invasive species throughout, cutting woody invasives at the stump and treating with herbicide to prevent resprouting.

It's essential, long-horizon work — and we're proud to do it at this scale.
