LEARNING IN THE GARDEN

GIVE YOUR CHILD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET THEIR HANDS DIRTY WHILE LEARNING ABOUT PLANTS & POLLINATORS

Things to know about this program:

  • it is 1.5 hours

  • it can be geared toward any child aged 4-13 (grades K-8)

  • it is created custom for your child's age level and needs

  • you can invite a friend or sibling to join BUT

  • the pricing is based on the number of children involved

  • parents do not have to directly supervise, but they must remain at home!

We provide all necessary equipment, such as gloves, trowels, soil, mulch, and plants!

'Learning in the Garden' is an add-on to a pollinator garden installation.

Whether it's 50 plants or 500 plants, in order to book this program you must also book us for a Pollinator Garden.

Our custom program will ensure that your child:

  • meaningfully contributes to your new garden

  • has a fun outdoor experience

  • learns about their local ecosystem

About Our Educator

Reid Williamson has over 8 years experience in the field of Outdoor Education. She has previously worked for the Durham District School Board and the Toronto District School Board working with grade 6 and K-8, respectively. She was the Summer Camp Director for the Durham Forest Nature Camp and the Humber Arboretum's Nature Camp. She also worked with The Pine Project in their Community Outdoor School, with a wide variety of ages.
