WORKSHOPS AND PLANT WALKS

LEARNING ABOUT, AND CONNECTING WITH, THE PLANTS

Workshops, plant walks, and team building activities facilitated by experienced educators. We offer workshops and walks that showcase different ways to identify and use invasive plants, as well as group tree planting events.

Workshops

We are currently offering our "Working with Invasives" workshop series.

Learn about local invasive species on a guided plant walk. Our spring workshop will

focus on Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata) as an edible plant. Learn foraging ethics,

how to identify the plant, how to prepare it as food, and how to manage it in your own

yard. Our fall workshop is all about Common Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica) and

will focus on the berries as a source of natural dye. Learn all about the botanical dye

process, how to identify buckthorn in all stages of growth, and management strategies.

Plant Walks

Could your school, workplace, or community group use some nature connection? We offer

guided plant walks by an experienced outdoor educator. These walks can happen anywhere

there is a park or greenspace, and can be tailored to suit the needs of your specific group.

Team Building

If your business is looking for a unique way to develop leadership and build connections

within your team, contact us to organize your event. Group stewardship activities, such

as tree planting or invasive species removal, are great ways to work as a team for a common

goal, and help the planet while we're at it!

A Unique Opportunity - Remove invasives, plant natives!

Ecological restoration can be a great way to connect with your community, work place, or

team. We can facilitate volunteer and team building events, organize funding, supply plants,

teach about planting and invasive species. Restore with your community!
